About Me

My name is Megan Bailey, and I am a senior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a degree in English. After graduation, I will be attending the University of Georgia School of Law.

Outside of school, I am a fitness instructor at Pure Barre and a theatre director at a local elementary school. I love both of my jobs and the opportunity to work with new people every day! I am also a proud mom of a basset hound and a Persian cat. I do not have much free time, but when I do, I am most definitely snuggled up with my pets.

My study of English thus far has led me to have a great interest in the study of rhetoric, the connections between literature and culture, and how rhetoric, literature, and human interaction all work together in a constantly changing world. I will take these interests with me in my study of law to pursue a career in public service. I have a passion for people, and I will use that passion to drive my career in a way that serves to help those that need it most. Literature has opened my eyes to countless injustices around the world; I want to right these wrongs and be a voice for the voiceless.

This page will be a running blog of my experiences and discoveries about rhetoric and social movements in America. I will focus on the past and the present, combining research and personal opinion to reach a comprehensive understanding of these social movements.
